
About the Masterclass
The 7th North American Aortic Valve Repair Symposium (AVRS) Masterclass is a two-day conference providing an immersive experience in all aspects of aortic valve reconstructive surgery, including aortic valve repair and the Ross procedure. The program includes live surgical cases with review and discussion of preoperative imaging, detailed intraoperative valve analysis, and covers the spectrum of surgical repair techniques. International experts in aortic valve surgery will describe repair techniques, highlight outcomes, and identify areas for improvement. In addition to live cases, the program includes videos of surgical procedures, presentation of clinical data and outcomes, panel discussion with experts in the field, as well as hands-on and interactive sessions.
Target Audience
This conference has been designed for cardiovascular surgeons, cardiologists, cardiac anesthesiologists, residents and fellows with an interest in aortic valve repair as well as other members of the care team.
Accreditation Statement
This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the University of Ottawa’s Office of Continuing Professional Development. You may claim a maximum of 14.25 hours (credits are automatically calculated).
